Abby and Garrett tied the knot at Thousand Hills Ranch in Pismo Beach, surrounded by their loved ones on a stunning sunny day in April. Tucked into rolling green hills, this barn wedding radiated Western charm and heartfelt details. Guests snacked on fresh local strawberries, scribbled sweet notes on a wooden board branded with the couple’s “B,” for their last name and cheered as the bride swapped into a fun and flirty dress for an unforgettable swing dance under the barn lights with her honey. It was rustic romance at its finest. I had the pleasure of interviewing the bride about the special day.

The Love Story

"Garrett and I met volunteering at a camp for kids with disabilities. Strategically, my mom who runs the camp put us in the same group. Turns out mom know best, fast forward one year and Garrett and I started dating. Not long after we started dating we took the leap of faith and moved to Idaho together. Although, looking back we both knew that we were meant to be together and moving away from our friends and family early in our relationship made our love grow. After 3 years and a new dog Garrett proposed in our favorite place, Hailey ID."

The Inspiration

"My inspiration was western garden party. I wanted the western aspects of the ranch where we got married to come through but also keep the light, classic, spring wedding vibes."

Color Palette

"We did butter yellow for the bridesmaid dresses and leather accents."

Memorable Moments

"Smashing the cake in each others face. We also did a first prayer together, which was really fun to hear each other but not see each other before the ceremony."

The Details

"My favorite details was Garrett and I did a choreographed swing dance after my dress change. My second dress was my late grandmothers dress so that was really special. We also did a private dinner during cocktail hour that was a special moment for Garrett and I to sit back and appreciate the day while it was happening."
