Jonathan Miller of Jonathan David Studios is a central coast wedding professional who has grown up stretching his legs and creativity along our beaches and golden hillsides. One can get a sense of quiet peace from his imagery that stems from his love and appreciation for this wonderful stretch of California. Upon meeting with Jonathan for the first time I felt like he's an old trusted friend. One that I would road trip with or he working with him could make some random manual laborious task fun! For couples that are chill, artistic, and like to have fun, Jonathan would make the perfect photographer! Get to know him...

How did you get started in doing what you do?

p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Light'}

-->I always had an interest in photograhy as a kid. my dad and grandma were always taking pictures and videos of the family. Every "new" camera that came out my grandma had to have it. From the old Kodak browie to the over the shoulder straight to vhs camcorder. But I didnt really jump into shooting photos myself until a couple friends got cameras and started shooting. Once I got a hold of my dads hand me down Olympus OM 10 it was all over. I found a tool I loved to create with. Shooting weddings happened by accident. I had a friend that was building his own wedding photo business and I started going to weddings and carring bags for him. And after that I found that I loved shooting people and the honor and challenge of capturing a couple's special day.

Do you consider what you do as an art form?

p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Light'}

-->Yes. Yes. and Yes. I not only want to capture the event of a wedding but also give my clients the type of photo that they will get printed super big and hang in their living room. I want the photos I shoot to be that piece of art that becomes a conversation piece when friends come over to the couple's house. I am always trying to give something that is unique to the couple... to shoot their day from an artist's perspective.
