Their Love Story

"John and I met while working together at a winery in Northern California. We became fast friends, sharing lots of laughs in the break room (and occasionally on the job). I couldn't wait to get to work with him! After 4 months of flirting, he FINALLY asked me out! We quickly fell in love, and 3 years later we decided to make a life change and move across the country together to Washington DC. One year later, we got engaged while on vacation in Puerto Rico!"

Memorable Moments

"Exchanging our vows was a highlight. It just reaffirmed how much I love John and how far we've come as a couple. My dance with my dad was also unexpectedly sweet -- he pulled out all his best dance moves! And the dance floor was amazing! Our DJ hit it out of the park, and some us didn't stop dancing til the absolute last minute."

The Inspiration

"We wanted our day to be as fun, colorful and joyous as our love story has been the past 5 years. We chose bright coral and natural sage colors to complement the garden, summer setting. We also scattered photos of our many adventures together throughout the venue -- from our travels to Europe and beyond to our cross-country move to DC. Our wedding favors were also an expression of our story - we gave wine corks, representing where we met (while both working at a winery). And we also gave away logo glassware, representing our mutual love of fine wine and spirits."

The Details

"The bounce house! We loved having an excuse to be a kid again and have a bounce house at our wedding. And we were so pleased that both the kids AND the adults loved it! Also, instead of a bouquet toss, we did a box toss -- John tossed an empty whiskey box and I tossed an empty champagne box. We're both big wine and spirit aficionados, so this matched our personalities so much better than a bouquet or garter toss!"
