Imagine a celebration where history, art, and romance intertwine seamlessly to create an event of breathtaking beauty. Welcome to the enchanting world of Persian style weddings, where every detail is steeped in family traditions and cultural significance. From the intricate designs of the Sofreh Aghd—the ceremonial spread that symbolizes the couple's new life together—to the vibrant colors, sumptuous fabrics, and melodious music, Persian weddings are a feast for the senses and the soul. I had the pleasure of interviewing the bride about the day.

Their Love Story
"We met via a dating app. One of our first conversations involved talking about family Thanksgiving traditions. I told Chris that our family had started a tradition where we take group Fireball shots and dance to the song of the same name. This tradition found its way into our wedding day. We love to travel, and after 3 and a half years of dating, Chris proposed on a trip in the North Shore of Minnesota."
The Inspiration
"We really wanted to enhance the wild, rustic and whimsical nature of the venue and the Central Coast so we tried to keep our color scheme natural with greens and whites and dried elements like pampas grass. We also added accents of slate to match the ocean and the reception barn as well as touches of gold to incorporate the bride's Persian heritage. The couple love to travel so small nods to travel such as a guest globe to sign and a luggage travel escort display were incorporated into the day."
Color Palette
"Green, white, slate blue, and gold."
The Details
"One of our favorite moments was opening up the dance floor. To do that, we did a toast and asked our guests to take a group Fireball shot and dance to the song Fireball."
Memorable Moments
"We did our first look on the edge of a cliff off of highway 2 across from the venue. Hiking to the spot was a trek, but seeing Chris waiting at the end of the trail was really special and the photos came out beautifully. Seeing all our family and friends while walking down the aisle was also really special-knowing they had all traveled to this special place to celebrate with us meant the world. We love Cayucos and were so excited to share this magical place with them."
Knowing what you know now... what advice would you have for other brides planning their wedding?
"When the day comes, just soak it all up. Don't sweat the small stuff, be present, and do all the things-eat the food, dance, mingle. You enjoy to be a guest on your big day after all your planning, so don't worry about anything else and just enjoy the moment."
What was the most challenging part about planning your wedding?
"Making sure we did not forget any details/vendors. Our venue was great in that they were flexible and let us choose all our vendors which was important to us, but the flip side was we had to bring almost everything in so we needed a really great planner to help assure we did not forget anything and to coordinate it all."
