Nothing has ethereal ceremony scenery much like a Yosemite elopement. Shauna and Matt had an intimate wedding setting with their loved ones at the beautiful Yosemite National Park. I had the pleasure of interviewing the bride about the beautiful day.

Their Love Story
"We met on a dating site almost 4 years ago. We have a lot of the same interests so started hanging out pretty quickly. Once I met his family I knew we would get married one day. He proposed on Mothers Day on one of our favorite hikes in Cayucos with our kids. He told my daughter about it first and I was able to catch the cutest picture of them not even realizing what was about to happen looking back all the clues where there I was just oblivious he made it a very special moment for us and the kids. Plus we got to hike back to the car on cloud nine so that was fun."
The Inspiration
"I wanted something small and intimate. We just had our parents and siblings attend the ceremony and then threw a bigger party about a month later with all of our friends and family."
Color Palette
"I was going for more of a Mauve color scheme but somehow oranges made it in there too."
The Details
"The location was phenomenal. When we visited the space the Tuesday before I just knew it was going to be the perfect day. I got ready at a small cabin with my mom and sister and that was very special and calm to be able to spend that time with them."
Memorable Moments
"The look on my husbands face when I walked down the aisle. It was one I had never seen before and one I will never forget. I there a last minute inside joke into my vows and gave him the finger guns. Everyone died laughing and it took a minute for us to gain composure again."
Knowing what you know now... what advice would you have for other brides planning their wedding?
"Just do what makes your heart happy! Throw a big wedding or a small one and forget what anyone else thinks about it. It's your day not theirs."
