Bring in the boho decor, barn and bouquets! Luke and Lindsey had an elegant and colorful party to celebrate their engagement. They incorporated personable pieces of their history as a couple and spent their night with loved ones at the San Luis Obispo wedding venue, The Penny. The Vision
While Luke and Lindsey are planning a small destination wedding, they wanted to host an engagement party in the special place they met, San Luis Obispo. The Penny was the perfect place to bring together their closest friends and family for a fun celebration.
The Inspiration
Luke and Lindsey wanted their celebration to be timeless, romantic, elegant (but, not fussy), and most of all, light-hearted and fun. Vibrant oranges, navy and dusty blues, warm yellows, fuschia, and gold accents were colors used to bring this feeling to life.
The Details
Lindsey lost her horse Jesse, her best friend of 22 years, a year prior to the engagement party. Jesse had followed Lindsey to Cal Poly, and ultimately retired in SLO. With that, Luke and Lindsey wanted the barn at The Penny to be the main focal point. A beautiful floral piece hung from the barn and a boho lounge was placed in front of it where friends and family could enjoy their cocktails and conversation.
