Jimmy and Tyann Daoutis' wedding was nothing but romantic as they shared their love for each other at the dreamy Arroyo Grande wedding venue, Villa Loriana. Elegant with a little bit of fun, they incorporated their own style into a traditional Greek wedding. The bright and luxurious look and architecture at Villa Loriana showcased a stunning backdrop for their photos, and San Luis Obispo photographer Bethany Joy captured every sweet moment. I was able to interview the bride, Tyann, to get some insight on their day!

Their Love Story

"Jimmy and I met during a time where we were on a mission to find independence in ourselves outside of a relationship. I was in the process of moving to San Diego, CA and within 2 weeks before I left, our mutual friends introduced us. Although we felt an instant and special connection, we still had goals we wanted to achieve. After doing long distance for a year, I moved to be with Jimmy which then led to us to move to the central coast together, followed by a fairytale engagement at sunset in Montana De Oro. But the fairytale didn't end there. Exactly 4 years from the day we met, we got married at the most magical venue - Villa Loriana in Arroyo Grande. Family and friends all flew/drove into town to celebrate with us and it couldn't have been anymore beautiful! We haven't stopped laughing and adventuring since, and we couldn't feel more grateful to have found the one person we're truly meant to be with."

Color Theme

Neutral colors with hints of royal purple for added grandness.

The Details

"Though I was excited for the entire day, I was really excited for our first look where we shared our vows before the ceremony. Also, our first dance consisted of a traditional slow and intimate song, then transitioned into a Greek dance which was a surprise for our guests."

Memorable Moments

"One of the most memorable moments was walking down the aisle to my husband. Seeing the happiness on his face made all my nerves go away. Another memorable moment was seeing my dad for our first look. I've never see my dad as happy and emotional than that moment. The whole day was truly the most memorable and incredible day of my life!"

Knowing what you know now... what advice would you have for other brides planing their wedding?

"Don't stress the small stuff! Understanding that some things won't go according to plan on the day of will ease your stress. Just go with the flow and enjoy! And remember to stay in the moment. Take a step back and absorb every single minute because the day goes by so quickly."

What was the most challenging part about planning your wedding?

"The most challenging part about planning was searching for vendors in the beginning and figuring out a budget."
