Photographer, Alexandra Wallace captured every awe-inspiring detail of Ellery and Raigs' timeless day.
THE LOVE STORY
"Rarig and I met through a mutual friend back in September of 2012. He was busy working harvest, and I was a full time student at Cal Poly and a weekend waitress. We didn't start dating until January of 2013, and have been together since! We both love to travel, try new things, and quote movies."
"Rarig took me to NYC for New Year's Eve in 2014. We spent a week in the city, enjoying the holiday festivities. On Dec. 31st, 2014, he made reservations for us at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park, where he proposed. It was a perfect evening in one of my favorite places!"
MEMORABLE MOMENTS
"I remember waking up that morning with my best friend, Anaysa, and feeling like a million bucks. All my best friends and family members were surrounding me the entire day. We laughed ourselves silly as we were pampered with hair (Ana Garcia Cheadle & The Hair Lounge), makeup (Alex Evans), and a bit of sparkling wine."
"The second memorable moment was right before I walked down the aisle. My dad and I sat in the getting ready room together and had the most wonderful talk. When it was time to walk down the aisle, we walked out on the porch of the house on the wedding site, and he had me pause to take it all in. I was so happy he did that because from a distance, in between all the lovely, familiar faces, I could see Rarig, looking handsome as ever."
WEDDING PLANNING INSPIRATION
"When I pictured my wedding, I always imagined everything looking bright and whimsical. Since we were getting married in a vineyard, I thought the bright, natural colors would look timeless against the deep green grape vines. Natalie and Stephanie of Lovelyfest were able to capture my elegant vision, while including Rarig's passion for winemaking and nature."
"Natalie and Stephanie from Lovelyfest were incredible through the entire process. From the start, they helped design and plan our perfect day. Even through bumps in the wedding road, they rolled with us and went above and beyond to make the day perfect."
THE DETAILS
"I loved that our wedding favors were little bottles of sweet wine that Rarig had made. It was a great way for our guests to see (and taste) what he does. I also really liked our getaway car, which was a 1940 Cadillac LaSalle. We jumped in the car right after our ceremony and took a drive around the countryside. It was a great way to spend some time together before going back to our family for pictures."
ADVICE FOR NEWBIE BRIDES
"No matter what happens during planning, on the day of the wedding your only job to do is enjoy every second of the day. Don't let anything ruin your day!"
