Girl meets boy!
I met Zach at work after I swore I would never date anyone from work. He would always volunteer to help me when I went to his store and I noticed I got those butterfly feelings. When he asked to take me to dinner, I literally froze and said I don't know. Luckily that wasn't my last chance and we went on to date for 3 years before he popped the question. How he asked- I lost my Mom to pancreatic cancer in November 2017. We had her celebration of life in January 2018. My dad hosted a dinner for our family at our family home. My Dad gave a toast and Zach wanted to do a follow up. I thought how cute and then he turned to me, got down on one knee. I was so shocked. We never even looked at rings. When he opened the box I saw my Moms engagement ring. It was the most special moment and an even more special ring. I am honored my Dad and Brother let him use her ring to propose! The only thing I changed was the size of the band. Her ring is so unique!
Wedding Planning Inspiration
My Mom! My mom was the most vibrant person. Through her fight she always smiled, was positive and so happy! She lived by the saying, Don't Postpone Joy! The color the use for pancreatic cancer is purple and also my favorite color. I knew I wanted something colorful but not over the top so I went with awesome florals and neutral tones everywhere else. Pops of color make us smile!
Color Palette
Fuchsia, whites, pinks, purples, and a sprinkle of yellow.
The Details
The florals! Omg they were over the top and incredibly beautiful! We loved just about everything. I would do it all over again, EXACTLY, the same way! The entire wedding was amazing, from the music to food to all the little details. I'm getting all the feels thinking about our big day.
Memorable Moments
My Dad's speech! He said he didn't practice or write anything down but I find that hard to believe. He made everyone laugh and then cry. Even my vendor team was crying! Our first dance! We picked a song called Born to Love You by Lance. Dan Curcio learned the song for us and played it perfectly in his own acoustic style.
