Rebecca and Donald had a beautiful wedding mixed with vintage bliss. Tucked away in the fields near Edna Valley, the Flying Caballos wedding venue added the perfect amount of charm for this couples special day. Neutral colors mixed with a hint of peach made this DIY wedding unique and full of love. The wonderful Chloe Murdoch was there to photograph this amazing day and she did it beautifully.
Girl Meets Boy...

-->Girl meets boy at a bar, in downtown Santa Barbara, and it was love at first sight, literally. We were pretty much inseparable from the day we met. We dated for six years before we got married. One of our favorite things to do together is going to see shows. We love music, so it was fitting that Donald proposed to me on a mix tape on my iPod. It was completely unexpected and incredibly special and now I have that moment in time saved forever.
Wedding Planning Inspiration...

-->Our wedding didn't really have a specific theme. Part of what really inspired us was our venue. Flying Caballos Ranch in San Luis Obispo was an amazing beautiful location that really spoke for itself. It really was a DIY wedding, I'm just incredibly blessed to have 3 very talented and capable sisters and also a best friend who is one of the creative artistic people I know. Without them it would not have been possible. We all took ideas from everywhere and brought together this really beautiful vintagey theme.

-->The best most special thing about getting married, aside from becoming Mrs. Spence, is the overwhelming feeling of love and family coming from the fact that everyone we love was together in one space for probably the only time in our lives. It was an amazing feeling to look out on all those faces, I don't think I'll ever forget that feeling, we are very lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives.
RADDEST Wedding Vendors...

-->We had such a positive experience with all of our vendors. Food is incredibly important to Donald and I so serving amazing food was a top priority for us. Instead of going with a traditional caterer we had Giuseppe's my absolute favorite restaurant in Pismo Beach cater the event and they really went above and beyond for us. We had delicious appetizers, we had pastas and salads and the definite star of the show was the portable pizza oven they brought with them to the wedding to do on site wood fired pizzas.
Our photographer was this amazing lady, Chloe Murdoch. She really went out of her way to not only be there at relatively the last minute but she also was willing to work with us regarding our budget which was such a gift. We have a really big crazy family and she was so great at working with and around the craziness and really being able to corral us all together and get a lot of really beautiful photos, not only of us but of all the little details that made up the wedding. She made me my husband and our families feel so at ease and so comfortable it was really like she was just part of the family for that day. She has an amazingly calm demeanor and kind heart. We hired True Blue Events as our wedding planners. Their presence made such a phenomenal difference the weeks leading up to the wedding and definitely the day off. They were super organized and so helpful in every aspect of the day. They really helped keep it all together and alleviate a lot of stress. They are great friends and amazing ladies.
